Thank you for choosing to travel with Mikumba Dua (PT. Mikumba Concepts Indonesia). Please read the following Terms & Conditions carefully, as your confirmed booking signifies your full agreement with them.

By joining a diving and/or snorkeling trip with PT. Mikumba Concepts Indonesia, you acknowledge and confirm that you are physically fit to participate in ocean activities and that you have received, or will receive prior to the trip, adequate training in scuba diving. You understand the inherent risks associated with scuba diving, snorkeling, traveling, and living on board a vessel, and natural environmental conditions. You voluntarily accept and assume these risks.

In consideration of being accepted on any diving and/or snorkeling program operated by PT. Mikumba Concepts Indonesia, you hereby release PT. Mikumba Concepts Indonesia employees, agents, and representatives from any liability for personal injury, death, or loss of property that may occur during the trip, whether arising from diving activities, boat travel, use of equipment, or any other circumstances associated with the program.

You agree that any loss or damage to rental gear or other vessel property (including but not limited to: snorkeling or diving equipment, linens, towels, etc.) caused by negligence or misuse will be your responsibility and will be charged at the applicable replacement or repair value.

You understand that due to the remote nature of destinations, local conditions, or weather, itineraries and dive plans may be subject to change. Mikumba Dua reserves the right to modify or cancel any dive or activity if deemed necessary for safety or operational reasons.

You further agree to follow all safety instructions and guidelines provided by Mikumba Dua staff throughout the trip.

1. Scope of Contract

1.1 These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings for liveaboard voyages, diving activities, accommodation, and any related services provided by Mikumba Dua (PT. Mikumba Concepts Indonesia).

1.2 These Terms & Conditions apply whether the booking is made directly with PT. Mikumba Concepts Indonesia or through an authorized travel agent. In all cases, the contract is formed upon confirmation of your reservation, and from that moment, all rights and obligations outlined herein take full effect.

1.3 If a booking is made on behalf of additional passengers, the person making the booking accepts responsibility for ensuring that all travelers are aware of and comply with these Terms & Conditions, including payment schedules and pricing.

2. Booking & Payment

2.1 A reservation is confirmed only after we receive a 15% deposit within 7 days of booking.
2.2 The remaining balance must be paid no later than 90 days before trip departure.
2.3 Bookings made within 60 days of departure require full payment at the time of booking.
2.4 Payments are charged in Euro (€) unless otherwise stated. Credit card or transfer fees may apply.

3. Inclusion

  • Pick-up and drop from the hotel / airport
  • Accommodation in air-conditioned cabins
  • All meals onboard (breakfast, lunch, dinner & snacks)
  • Free-flow drinking water, tea, coffee & soft drinks
  • Towels & basic toiletries
  • Professional crew & cruise director
  • Island visits and guided snorkeling excursions
  • Use of onboard facilities (kayak / paddleboard)

4. Exclusion 

  • Airline ticket to Labuan Bajo
  • Hotel accommodation in Labuan Bajo
  • National Park Fees & Local Tourism Taxes
  • Sunscreen
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Diving packages / equipment rental 
  • Travel insurance 
  • Crew gratuities 

5. Equipment Rental

Modifying the equipment is strictly forbidden. Equipments are tested before rental, which implies that the renter does accept its working condition. The renter certifies all security warnings, risks and precautions to be taken concerning the use of the equipment rented through this agreement. The agreement is a release of the renter’s rights to sue for injuries or death resulting from the rental and/or use of this equipment. Renter expressly assumes all risks of snorkeling and/or scuba diving related in any way to the rental and/or use of this equipment. Whatever the mode of transport and / or assembly, the renter is responsible for the equipment as soon as they leave the owner.

  • The renter is expected to know the operation and handling of the equipment, so he will be held responsible for any misuse.
  • Under no circumstances can the owner be held responsible for any bodily injury or material damage resulting from the renter use of his equipment.
  • The rented equipment can not be re-rented, sold, given or pledged. In case of confiscation, fine, or other due to non-compliance legislation, the renter will be held responsible.
  • Renter affirm it is my responsibility to inspect all of the equipment and acknowledge it is in good working condition. Renter affirm that it is my responsibility to check both the quality and quantity of gas in any scuba tanks. Renter acknowledge that I should not dive if the equipment is not functioning properly.
  • Renter will not hold the Released Parties responsible for my failure to inspect the equipment prior to diving or if renter choose to dive with equipment that may not be functioning properly.
  • Renter agree to reimburse for the loss or breakage of any and all equipment at the current replacement value and to also pay for damages incurred while transporting the equipment.
  • Renter agree to return the equipment in clean condition and to pay a cleaning fee if not returned cleaned.

6. Changes or Cancellations by the Guest 

If you must cancel your booking, the following fees apply:

Name substitution (transferring your spot to another person) may be possible.

7. Trip Cancellation by Mikumba Dua

If Mikumba Dua is unable to operate the trip or provide the services as confirmed due to operational reasons (for example: mechanical issues or internal logistics), we will offer:

  • An alternative trip date, or
  • An equivalent or higher-quality vessel / itinerary

If part of the trip has already been provided, charges may apply for the portion already completed.

8. Force Majeure (Circumstances Beyond Control)

If Mikumba Dua is permanently unable to deliver the trip due to circumstances outside of our control, such as:

  • Natural disasters
  • Government regulations or closures
  • War, riots, or civil unrest
  • Severe weather conditions or ocean safety concerns

then Indonesian Law will apply and we will work with all parties involved to find a fair and commercially reasonable solution.

No refund will be issued in the event of Force Majeure, however, every case will be reviewed individually with the goal of supporting both our guests and our crew.

9. Weather & Itinerary Adjustments

The safety of our guests and crew is always the top priority. If the Captain or Cruise Director determines that weather or sea conditions pose a risk, they may:

  • Change the itinerary
  • Delay departure
  • Seek shelter
  • Or cancel the trip if necessary

No refund will be issued if changes or cancellations are made due to safety or Force Majeure circumstances, but we will always do our best to offer alternative arrangements when possible.

10. Dive Requirements

  • Certified divers must present a valid certification and logbook.
  • Guests are responsible for assessing their own medical fitness to dive.
  • Our dive guides reserve the right to prohibit diving if safety is at risk, without refund.

11. Insurance

We strongly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes coverage for: medical treatment, diving-related emergencies, evacuation, trip interruption or cancellation, lost baggage, and personal liability. Guests who choose not to obtain adequate insurance do so at their own risk, and PT. Mikumba Concepts Indonesia will not be held financially responsible for any loss or disruption beyond our control.

All guests must hold:

  • Travel insurance
  • Dive accident insurance (e.g., DAN, DiveAssure)

Proof may be requested prior to boarding.

12. Complaints 

Short comings in our services during the vessel are to be reported immediately to our tour leader / cruise director / captain on board. If possible the cruise director will try to find an appropriate solution. When the complaint cannot be solved aboard, the operating office PT. Mikumba Concepts Indonesia should be notified in writing no later than 14 days after disembarkation. PT. Mikumba Concepts Indonesia will settle the dispute to the best of our abilities within 2 weeks after receiving the complaint.

13. Liability

PT. Mikumba Concepts Indonesia is not liable for:

  • Loss or damage to personal items
  • Injury or incident arising from personal negligence
  • Delays, cancellations, or force majeure events (weather, strikes, etc.)

Guests are responsible for valuables, equipment, and personal documents. 

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Indonesia. Any dispute shall be settled under Indonesian jurisdiction.
